                 Teaching  Fall 2008:
(1)  MATH 354, Section 1, Survey of Algebra, TR 11-12:15, CAB 431
                                                              (2)
MATH 852, Representation Theory (Vertex Algebras), TR 12:30 - 1:45, KER 326.

My reserach interests include:  Representation Theory of infinite dimensional Lie algebras, vertex algebras, Lie superalgebras, Hecke algebras,
and connections to Algebraic Combinatorics, Algebraic Geometry and Mathematical Physics.   Here is a list of my
Papers.

I have been at UVa since 2001, and here is my
CV.  Here is the link to Algebra Seminar, Wednesdays 3:30 (Current; Past).

                 Ph.D. students
Current:  Ta Khongsap, Lei Zhao, Jinkui Wan.
Past:  Dave Taylor (graduated 2007, now in Roanoke College, VA) ,
Jill Tysse (2008, Hood College, MD).

I am on the Editorial Board of International Mathematics Research Notices (IMRN) and
International Mathematics Research Papers (IMRP).
If you are interested in submitting a paper, follow the instruction in
IMRN-IMRP.

Here you may find a list of
Conferences and Workshops, mostly in representation theory.
                 I have many
Research Collaborators.
If you are interested in helping some students, take a minute to read Tonghai Yang's webpage on
Hometown Education Foundation.
