Mom inherited about $30,000 from her cousin's estate in about 1984 or
1985 (estate number A-21154 filed in Orphan's Court of Baltimore City by
Register of Wills for Baltimore City Mary W. Conaway). The cousin's name
was Dorothy Hatton, who died on March 13, 1983.
Dorothy Hatton (nee Baer) was the daughter of Jesse S. Baer (died 1951 in
Baltimore, (estate on file in Baltimore City Orphan's Court, No. 21925))
and Emma F. Baer (died 1970; estate No. 21924). Other inheritors were:
Gladys Brengle, cousin; Beverly Penska, second cousin; Evelyn Gossman,
cousin; Helen Ball, cousin; Dorothy Penn (Mom's sister, double first
cousin of Dorothy Hatton).
Mom's Social Security Number is 220-07-1482.
Obituary Port St. Lucie Tribune, January 28, 1991, page C3:
Thelma Emma Harrison, 81, died Jan. 24, 1991. A native of Baltimore,
Md., she moved to Port St. Lucie from Baltimore 17 years ago. She was a
housewife and a member of the Spanish Lakes Homeowners Association.
She is survived by three sons, Stanley Harrison of Woodbine, Md., Larry
Harrison of Baltimore and Carroll Harrison of Baltimore; one daughter,
Linda Garrett of Charlottesville, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great
grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Baltimore at a later date.
Contributions in Mrs. Harrison's memory may be made to the American Heart
Association of the Treasure Coast, P.O. Box 434, Fort Pierce, Florida
34954. Haisley-Hobbs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
