George Dryden was a farmer and shoemaker in Worcester and later Somerset
County (1840 Worcester County census; 1850 Brinkleys Dist., Somerset
County (house 552 in 1850).
He and his wife Aurelia deeded their interest in their late
father-in-law's land in Accomac County to Levin Nock on March 27, 1841.
In 1848, George served as an associate justice for Atkinsons District
(Wor. Deeds EDM6:346), moving shortly thereafter to Somerset County.
Becoming insolvent in 1850, he deeded his property to a court trustee,
Isacc H. Dryden.
After George died, Aurelia moved to Baltimore City and lived with a
family named Seymour in Ward 20 in Baltimore in 1860. She worked as a
seamstress about 1864/6, and sold fish in the market at Hanover,
Lexington and Center Streets about 1867 (Baltimore City Directories).

George W. Dryden, son of Isaac and Mary (Alexander) Dryden, was born
about 1818 in Worcester Co, MD. George married Aurelia M. Johnson, lic.
Wor. March 2, 1820. Aurelia, born about 1806, was the daughter of Isaiah
Johnson of Accomac Co., Va. Isaiah Johnson died in 1837, leaving
children John S. Augustus, Henrietta (married---Leatherbury), Aurelia M.
above, Louisa (married Samuel H. Truitt), and Tabitha (married Leven
Nock) (Acc. Wills 1828/46)

Baltimore City is uncertain. His widow was living with a family names

1867, and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Baltimore."
