I received my Ph.D. in 1983 from Michigan State University. Since then I have held appointments at U. of South Carolina, U. of Richmond, Purdue University, and U. of Virginia. My research interests lie in the area of function-theoretic operator theory, and specifically the field of composition operators on spaces of analytic functions in one and several variables. With Carl Cowen (Purdue) I have written a book titled "Composition Operators on Spaces of Analytic Functions" published by CRC Press.
