Further information and schedules will be posted in this location as they become available.

DEADLINES:
February 23: motel availability and rates
February 23: requests for short talks
March 10: getting on the list for the dinners on March 16 and 17

HOUSING:
Please make your own arrangements according to information on the web site. The Best Western Cavalier Inn at the University is overall the best choice for location and is the "official" motel for the meeting. [Caution: do not confuse this motel with the Best Western Mount Vernon, which is some distance from the University.]

HOSPITALITY HOUR:
Marvin Rosenblum will greet arriving guests on Wednesday, March 15, 8-10 PM, in the Cavalier Room of the Best Western Cavalier Inn at the University (the Cavalier Room is on the ground level, right off the lobby).

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION:
Due to the large number of participants, most people will need to use the ground transportation. A shuttle service, "Van On The Go Shuttle Service," is available; they charge $14 one way, $18 round trip. You can reserve a place on the shuttle (804-973-7667), but the shuttle meets arriving flights. Taxis are available also, but they are more expensive.

LOCATIONS:
The lectures will be in Clark Hall, and the Mathematics Department is in a nearby building, Kerchof Hall. The receptions and dinners on March 16 and 17 are in Alumni Hall. All of these areas are in easy walking distance from the Best Western Cavalier Inn at the University and Red Roof Inn.

PARKING:
If you are arriving by car, plan to leave your vehicle at the motel. You will not need it for the conference. If for any reason you want to bring a car to UVA, there is a parking garage. Parking regulations in the UVA lots will be in effect Thursday and Friday (March 16 and 17) until 5 PM. Most people will walk to Alumni Hall for the receptions and dinners, but we will have parking passes for those who wish to drive.

COSTS:
The banquet Thursday night is a fixed menu and costs $30 per person (there will be a fixed menu of baked chicken breast stuffed with dried tomatoes and artichokes with basil cream sauce, lemon pepper pasta, and snow peas with julienne peppers). The dinner Friday night will be buffet style and cost $25 per person. Please let us know if you prefer a vegetarian dinner or have special dietary needs, and the caterer will provide alternatives. The dinner costs may be paid by cash or personal checks. SORRY, WE CANNOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS. You may pay when you arrive, but we will also be happy to receive payment in advance. Checks should be payable to the "Department of Mathematics" and mailed to:

James Rovnyak
Department of Mathematics
Kerchof Hall
University of Virginia
Charlottesville, VA 22903-3199
We will presume that participants will attend the dinners on the days on which they are attending the conference; please tell us, however, if you will be accompanied by a spouse at the dinners.

SUPPORT:
NSF funds and matching UVa funds are available to partially reimburse SEAM participants for expenses. As these funds are limited, please use another source if such is available to you. There will be priorities, such as graduate students and participants who give short lectures. Support will be mainly for local expenses including motel. Probably we will not be able to give much or anything to reimburse travel costs. We will take requests for support at the conference.

SPECIAL STATUS:
Please let us know if you are a graduate student, unemployed, or otherwise have some special status.
